Protecting Beauty

I realized that my beauty is a gift. It is a tool that I use daily and hope that I always use it correctly. Smh.... I remember a story of Abram using Sarai's beauty as a way to have clear passage through the land of his enemy. Oh boy, when that king found out that Sarai was his wife and not his sister, he feared for real. What an interesting story about the power of beauty. Also, I think often about Esther and how long it took her to prepare to even be presented to the king for possible marriage. To get to either of these places, these women were outwardly beautiful to begin with, kind on the eyes, to the nose, to the senses. Your beauty is worth protecting, guarding, nurturing, and watching over.

Beauty. It is important. It can pave the way to opportunities. Let's be clear, first off. I am speaking of outward beauty, but this is not to forget that inner beauty is most definitely to be protected, nurtured, guarded, and inventoried often. A values check, to be exact!

But to add to the power of inner beauty, I'd have to add that outward beauty has a lot to do with confidence, which helps you hold your head up, push your shoulders back, and put your best foot forward. Confidence makes deals, gets the date, closes at asking price, and on! Can I really say that outward beauty is in direct relation with my mental health and self confidence? Absolutely yes I can!
